The football season has been entertaining, to say the least. With the Super Bowl now only two months away, we need to remember to appreciate every minute we have left this year. As every day passes, we gather more and more information to help us build the best possible DFS lineups. We have yet to hit that million-dollar win but will continue to do what we can to get closer. Here is a look at some of the potential tournament-winning players you need to have in your NFL Week 14 DFS lineups.

To streamline the many options that DFS players have to choose from, this article focuses solely on GPP tournaments with pricing from Draftkings.

Ryan Tannehill, QB Titans: $5,800

ryan-tannehill-week-13-quarterbacck-rankingsTrust me, if you would have asked me at the beginning of the 2019 season if I ever would have had Ryan Tannehill in one of my DFS lineups, I would have responded with a solid no. Ever since stepping into the role of starting quarterback for the Tennessee Titans, Tannehill has been impressive. Any afterthought of Marcus Mariota has long been erased from the minds of Titan fans.

The reality of the situation is that Tennessee is always going to be a team that looks to establish the run through Derrick Henry. Still, Tannehill has been extremely efficient with his limited passing attempts, and he has shown enough rushing ability to give him a stable floor at his price point. However, this week he will be going up against a terrible Oakland defense. Oakland is allowing opposing QBs to pass for an average of 259.8 yards per game.

Before last week, Tannehill was rushing for over 30 yards per game. It is a solid base for DFS points. On top of that, he has only had one game with a single touchdown. The rest, he has had either two or three in the air. He has a decent floor and at this price, you will be able to squeeze in some more expensive options in your lineups!

Nick Chubb, RB, Browns: $8,000

nick-chubb-dynasty-rebuildThe one thing to keep in mind when paying up for running backs with this kind of cap hit is that you are entirely TD dependant. For this price to be worth it, you need your player to get in the endzone. The tough choice here is that Chubb has struggled to do exactly that the last few weeks. Two weeks ago he was able to get both a receiving and rushing TD, but last week was limited against the Steelers.

This week, he will be going up against the worst rush defense in the NFL. The Cincinnati Bengals are allowing an average of 157.6 yards to opposing RBs, nearly 15 yards more than the Miami Dolphins! Chubb went up against one of the best defenses in the league last week and will bounce back against the Bengals.

Now that the Bengals have gone back to Andy Dalton at QB, they can now move the ball. They got their first win against the Jets last week and will look to continue that success. They have the first overall pick nearly locked in, so now they are simply playing to see what they have in their futur superstars. If they can put up points and turn this game into a high scoring affair, then Chubb has the chance to replicate his success from Week 12. A TD in the air and on the ground could once again be in play.

Julio Jones, WR, Falcons: $7,500

Julio-Jones-week-6-wr-rankings-2019-dynasty-startup-strategyJulio Jones is expected to return to the lineup this week after missing out on the Falcons Thanksgiving loss against the Saints. He returns to a juicy matchup against a Carolina team that has been allowing over 210 yards per game to opposing QBs on the road. Jones should be the number one recipient of Matt Ryan’s passing attempts this week. Players like Calvin Ridley and Gage have stepped up in Jones’ absence, but this could be the spot to jump back in the Julio train.

At home, Atlanta is second in the league behind only Dallas in passing yards at home, averaging 306.7 yards. They have often been behind and needed to air it out to get back into games. Jones should go extremely low owned despite a great matchup at home with the Panthers. Every season, Julio has at least one massive game with multiple TDs and nearly 200 yards. We haven’t seen it yet this year, but I have a feeling it could be this week! Make sure to get him in all of your NFL Week 14 DFS lineups.

Value Play: Patrick Laird, RB  Dolphins: $4,100

A lineup with a Miami Dolphin and Ryan Tannehill? Who would have guessed it? Well, here we are and if you want to win a million dollars you need to be brave!

Last week, the default starting RB for Miami, Kalen Ballage, went down with an injury. So this week, Patrick Laird will likely be stepping into the starting role. When his name was called, Laird got a rushing touchdown and was also vitally involved in the passing game, catching 4-of-5 targets for 43 yards.

It will not be easy against the New York Jets defense who are allowing 75.2 rushing yards per game. However, this is a divisional game that should be high scoring. These two teams played each other in Week 9 and Miami put up 26 points. I can see the same sort of performance here. It is also important to keep in mind that we will be getting a starting RB, who is heavily involved in the passing game, at less than $5000.
